yesterday, my family & I went to Sandakan. enjoyy... ^^
one day tour in Sandakan town is tiresome (worst, when you walk with high heels huhuu~) ... but if you know any good place to be visited there, at least you won't regret it. believe me. :)OK, let me introduce you to some places that you can visit when you come to Sandakan town one sweet day. hehee...
In town, there's a place where you can enjoy your lunch near the seaside. Well, it's not that beautiful compared to Kuching Waterfront (in my opinion) but the sea breeze can soothe your hot day while you sit & relax with a glass of cold drink ... perrghh, I really love their Avocado Ice Blended!! its smooth texture & cooling sensation really suit my taste buds. their foods are not bad too; they're reasonable & clean. There are many food stalls, so you can choose whichever you like. If one day you get the chance to visit Sandakan town, I'd suggest you to try this place.
my AVOCADO ICE BLENDED. yummy~ ^^
one of the food available here ^^
hurmm... wanna have a satisfying, yet cheap meals for lunch?
Then, you should try this place. Pasar Sim-Sim. (^.^)
the main dish here is Ikan Bakar. there are various kinds of fishes available, like ikan pari & ikan merah... fresh & still hot, you can get it with just RM2.5o per dish, plus a plate of white rice & some side dishes like sayur rebung, ulam & sup kosong. so cheap huh? hehee~
** look at my post, of homecoming & birthday party; the 1st picture shown there is Pasar Sim-Sim.
looking for any souvenirs? Check out this place. Located in the town too, it's actually an old public market. ever heard of Pasar Phillipine in KK? Well, this place is similar to that market too.
if you want to buy Sabahan's food like Amplang, ikan talang & kuih-muih at low price, go around the ground floor first. don't worry, its surrounding is very clean, dry & well-organized. the place is not too crowded, so you can have more spaces & don't have to push people to walk in the market.
for the handicrafts, crystals & pearls lover, try to visit the upper floor. there are many stalls selling those stuffs. if you have the bargaining skills, you can get them at the lowest price. the sellers are also polite & nice too, so try to be nice to them so they won't be hesitated to give you the best discounts 'kay. ^^ besides of these, you can also find nice clothes, shoes, & accessories with the latest fashions here. as usual, bargaining skill is needed here.
crystals & pearls bracelets ... weee~ ^^
more accessories for sale~!!
this is how the market look like ... :)
there are still many more places that we guys can visit, such as Sandakan Crocodile Farm, Sepilok Rehabilition Centre & Labuk Bay but I can't give you more details 'bout those places for time waits for no man; I got some other things to do. wanna know more, go find it out by yourselves ehekk~ :P
gotta go. see ya in the next post. *wink* (0_~)
